perkins 4108 himy cf 1971 ice cream van has a perkins 4108 in is this the same engine as the one they use in boats if so can it be used as a replacement for my smokey one any ideas ---------------------- |

Not an easy one to do. Apart from the difficulties in swapping a Perkins in a CF1 (remove the front axle beam or carve a chunk out of the body front cross member then reinstate it as a structural member afterwards) the marine version has a different cooling system and likely will have a different sump and other things to change. ---------------------- |
