Inlet manifold water leak. Hi to all,For quite a while I have noticed the Bedford water level was dropping a bit more than it should have been when cold and came to thinking that there might be a leak from the inlet manifold because while running and hot the leak seemed to be stopped, because the alloy manifold expanded. So I found one on e-bay for twenty pounds and today I got the job done and changed them over, the cracks are very small and most likely due to over tightening or maybe just age. Thirty eight years is a long time to be expanding and contracting, now I have to think of a way to stop evaporation of fuel from the float chamber of the carb., a common cause of bad starting when the engine is hot. doujoy ---------------------- |

Expanding. Hi bluebedouin,I can only hope your old hose does not leak like some of the connections did after being disturbed like the hoses on my old Bedford engine, can lead to an annoying drip that refuses to stop! doujoy ---------------------- |
