Kelso.
Hi to all,
Busy getting ready for my trip jolly down to Kelso for the fifteenth, amazed at the daft wee things that quietly go wrong with the old Bedford electric's like a dip-beam connection a number plate light connection and a rear fog bulb connection.
All were checked before our last jolly two weeks ago and before for the MOT test two weeks before that, gremlins love old Bedford's.

Checkovers pay off.
Hi to all,
During my pre-trip check-over I have found that one of my rear wheel-trims has been cutting into the tyre valve, so that will have to be changed before Friday, no point taking any chance on a blow-out.
Another small alteration My have decided to make to the gearboxes that have been rebuilt is to drill tap and fit a drain plug into the bottom cover, always thought that was needed.

Drain plug.
Hi to all,
First gearbox drain plug drilled tapped and fitted, tested for leakage using turpentine and left over night, no leaks but it will be fitted with a small spot of lock-tight blue just as a insurance.
