whizzing noise ok so im not to bothered cos its been like it ever since ive had the van but i have a whizzing / whistling noise that im pretty sure is coming from the carb ..........it stops when i push the clutch down but then pops up again when i declutch .........as i say im not to bothered think it may be the big air pipe but not sure about that anyone had/have the same thing anyone have any IDEAS lolthanks GUY ---------------------- |

thrust bearing on way out, you will need to get it changed asap or you will end up with no clutch. make sure you get the correct 1 for the engine/gearbox combo as they all have different thrust bearing but same clutch unit |

ahh man you cant be serious ...................how can i find out which is the right one and theres me thinking it was just a noise coming from the air pipes lol ---------------------- |

look at your gearbox and then you should be able to get 1 from your local motorfactors No bag pipes fitted as standard I'm afraid LOL |

ok so after a lot of investigation im sure its not the gear box not def but pretty sure ...ive noticed that when the noise comes on it doesnt go on and off but does get louder the faster i go but its not there all the time and doesnt as i said earlier come and go when i use the clutch ....im still of the opinion that its an air issue ......... ill find the source of this and let you know lol on the plus side after a few hesitant starts this morning she drove beautifully this morning and it was quite cold this morning so was well happy with here ..going to try and get out again before the months out ...G ---------------------- |
