Pros and Cons of owning a Landcruiser
Hi all,
So., here is my story,
I'm looking to buy a Lancruiser 1973 (LPG), I've never owner a Bedford before, in fact I've never even owned a camper before.
I've fallen in love with her already, I need to go through the specifics of the vehicle, but Alex Mac's advice, I'm posting here to ask your advice on the pros and cons of owning a Landcruiser.
Thank you!

Hello Elin,
I can fully understand your emotions towards the legendary Landcruiser and a 1973 LPG one to boot. The reason I say this..hey, I've got one: in fact, in total, I own three. One ran on diesel, one ran on petrol and the one I'm using runs on LPG. The reason I favour the Landcruiser is it's fibreglass shell, draped over a metal frame, art deco rear windows, aerodynamic shape, easy to repair. Depending on what your internals are like, as mine are non-standard but they are exceedingly well built.
As for the rest of the vehicle I'm not really qualified to advise anybody. The only thing I can say about running on LPG, I use the FlashLube and, using a standard head, I got about 15,000 miles before I burnt two valves out.

Always check for dampness, especially in the rear corners, make sure window seals are in good condition, also, check around windscreen at bottom corners and inside van at front check its dry, just a couple of things i can think of having read past threads from owners.
