Bedford CF diesel conversion kit. I built this set up in to my CF six years ago, it has been totally reliable, returns almost 40 mpg and gives the van 2.3 petrol performance. It consists of a Perkins Prima 2.0 litre Turbo engine which has had an intercooler system added fitted to a Rover LT77 five speed gearbox with a factory bell housing. All ancillaries and service parts are easily obtained as everything is factory, The engine was is a version of the Rover Di in the 220 420 and 620 cars. I am only selling it on as I intend fitting a 4.6 P38 engine and Rover SD1 manual gearbox as I am going down the Retro Custom road . I thought I would try it on here before listing it on ebay. If you need more info give me a call on 0775 160 1135.

Here is my bedford cf 1979 classic camper van / motorhome, 4 berth,, has dual fridge , gas fire for heating with working thermostat, 2 ring gas hob, grill & oven. Sink with draining board, hot water boiler for instant hot water for sink & shower, shower & sink and porta poti , things I've added are movable 19' 12v flat screen TV with built in digital receiver and DVD player. TV can be viewed in bed or from lounge area via the swivel bracket it mounted too. In the lounge area I have installed a brand new JVC car stereo with surround sound speaker from a TV system, built into the top of wardrobe there is a digital Ariel booster which connects to the Ariel outside which I attach to a long pole which fits into a bracket designed for a bike rack, I use it when stationary for maximum signal. The van comes with a 40w solar panel kit, it's an all in one kit with it's own charge controller, this can be permanently built into the van if required but I have not done it as have used it for other batteries, onto batteries the van comes with 2x115amp 3 month old deep cycle leisure which allows me plenty of power, attached to the batteries is a 300w inverter with a 4 plug extension leading off it for the TV ect, I have also had a professional micro multi fuel wood/coal log burner stove installed into the van for the winter months, tho I'm still using it now as it's just too cosy not to light it, it's been mounted wast height on top of the cupboard for easy access, it's the perfect size for the van and very cute. The van comes with an awning rail attached and also a large dome awning with 3 doors to be opened if required, very handy extra space. Also there is a large waterproof caravan cover sheet which cacoon's the entire van for winter storage. It has a large water tank and pump all working fine plus waste tank. br brI bought this van last year in a sorry state, it had a broken skylight so it leaked when it rained, this was the first thing I replaced, so new skylight and up top all joints have been treated with liquid rubber so completely water tight, the caravan entrance door top half was rotten so I managed to salvage one the same size from a caravan reclaim yard, the original door had no window but the new one has a small window in it as it's from a newer model caravan, but unfortunately it came without a key, the door closes & opens fine and can be locked from inside by lifting the handle up but then not opened without key so I've added a bolt lock and padlock for added security. I have lived in this van since October and is a sound van to live in, lots of money been spent, it had a full service shortly after I purchased it at a cost of £300 and iv since done about 30 miles since that service. There 60,000 on the clock and van drives loverly considering age. It has it's original chrome hubcaps , original 1979 van stereo and speaker which all work, I intended on upgrading the headlights to modern ones but not got round to it as not had to go anywhere in it, tho I had no choice with the rear reversing lights, I just couldn't see anything when trying to reverse so iv attached a high powered 12v LED security light to the rear of the vehicle which comes on when the reverse light is engaged, can see fine now but would advise to upgrade main head lights, would cost about £60 to do. br The van had 12 months MOT when I bought it so has six months left and would fly threw another one as the van has done nothing mileage wise since. br brThis is classic camper van at 35 years old so expect some wear and tear, the asking price £3550ono,,, it's a great first time starter , ideal for costal/rural visits ect. Comes with lots of little extras , battery charger, small hand held Dyson Hoover, small new oil radiator for extra warmth if needed and more bits but too many to list. Any questions don't hesitate to call.
